4.5 pitch workshops

The 4.5 pitch workshops are FREE to attend for Technology/Digital/Mobile/ICT Sector startups & small sized businesses that are UK based, in addition to Europe based startups and small businesses looking to set up a UK office within the next 6 months.Participating companies will also have the opportunity to apply to pitch to an expert panel of judges and an audience of investors, journalists and entrepreneurs at a forthcoming techpitch 4.5 event.

Venue: IC tomorrow, Lower Ground Floor, CAN Mezzanine, 49-51 East Road, London, N1 6AH
Timings: Morning session 9.30 am-1 pm / Afternoon session 2 pm-5.30 pm
When registering, please select either the morning or afternoon session. Please note that you cannot sign up to both sessions or multiple dates.Cost: n/a - complimentary for qualified startups & small sized businesses
Full event details will be emailed to participants 4-5 days prior to the workshop. Please note that each startup will need to bring a laptop to work on during the workshop.PLEASE NOTE: The workshop is only open to companies that have not previously attended one of the UKTI/2Pears pitch workshops. Individuals that have attended in the past but are now part of a new company that have not previously attended the pitch workshop may register.
THIS WORKSHOP IS ONLY OPEN TO STARTUPS & SMALL BUSINESSES - if you are an investor or service provider, then you are not eligible to register for this workshop.
Topics covered during the 4.5 Pitch workshop include:
-How to put the pitch presentation together and what to include
-Guidance and feedback on delivery skills
-Overcoming nerves
-How to maximise networking opportunities at the event
Julie Collins from Collins & Collins will facilitate the workshop and has worked with many different companies across different sectors - including IT, Creative industries and Environmental goods and services - to prepare pitches to international companies and BBC production companies for example.
Only qualified companies may apply to participate in this workshop. Qualification criteria (all 4 need to apply to your company):
1. Either a UK based business or a European business looking to set up an office in the UK within the next 6 months
2. Startup, small or medium sized business 0-5 years in business
3. ICT sector or cross sector that have a technology/digital/mobile element to their products/services
4. Looking for investment (angel/seed/VC funding) or business partners, and to expand their business internationally (if UK based) or or to establish their business in the UK (if Europe based).
If these criteria apply to your business, then you can register by selecting either the morning (9.30 am-1 pm) or afternoon (2 pm-5.30 pm) session and complete the registration below. Each company may bring up to 2 (two) people to attend so if you are bringing a collague, please register them as part of your registration.

Opportunity to Pitch at a forthcoming techpitch 4.5 event!
A few of the companies participating in the workshop will be selected to pitch at an upcoming TechPitch 4.5 event. Please note that participation in the Pitch! workshop does not guarantee that your company will automatically be selected to pitch at an upcoming techpitch 4.5 event - the event organisers reserves the right to select the pitching startups.The next TechPitch 4.5 event will be held on 20 May 2013. Deadline to apply to pitch is now closed, however you can apply to pitch at the 26 September 2013 event.
